June 5, 1987 at the Metrodome
Rangers 15, Twins 9  (27-26)

Normally, when you score nine runs you expect to win.  Unfortunately, three different Twins pitchers gave up five runs a piece in a brutal blowout loss at the hands of the Rangers.  Bert Blyleven took the loss and he gave up five runs on six hits and one walk with one strikeout in three innings pitched.  The Rangers scored a run in each of the first seven innings of the game.

Roy Smalley hit a three run homer in the loss.  Al Newman went one for two with three RBIs and a run.
