The Twins outdueled the Yankees and it was Bert Blyleven who got it done on the mound in the Twins win. He improved to 9-7 on the season and he gave up just one run on seven hits and four walks with eight strikeouts in the complete game win.
Tom Brunansky belted a solo homerun in the fourth inning, his 21st of the season. Kent Hrbek went two for four with an RBI.
