Tom Brunansky led the way at the plate for the Twins in their win in the series finale against the Blue Jays. The outfielder went two for four with a homerun and three RBIs. Kent Hrbek singled, drew two walks and scored a run.
Mike Smithson was shelled for five runs early and he didn’t even last through the third. Dan Schatzeder picked up the win and he improved to 1-0 on the season with 3 2/3 innings of shutout relief.
