Twins 4, Indians 3 (42-29)
The Twins won their fourth straight game and they did it with some solid pitching and the long ball. All four Twins’ runs were scored on homers with Roy Smalley and Dan Gladden hitting solo shots and Kent Hrbek belting a two run homer in the win.
Bert Blyleven improved to 6-6 on the season with a decent start. He gave up three runs on eight hits and five walks with four strikeouts in six innings. Jeff Reardon struck out four in two shutout innings and he picked up his 15th save of the season.
