The Twins didn’t get a lot offense in their game against they Royals but they didn’t need much because Bert Blyleven was on fire.  He gave up one unearned run on six hits and a walk with two strikeouts in 8 2/3 innings.  Jeff Reardon got the final batter out and he picked up his sixteenth save of the season.

Kirby Puckett had a great and he went two for four with a solo homerun.  Greg Gagne went two for four with a double and an RBI.
