Angels 8, Twins 2  (62-53)

The Twins were shut down at the plate as their five game winning streak came to an end.  The Twins managed just four hits and they only reason they got on the board was because two of those hits were solo homerun.  Kent Hrbek and Roy Smalley both went yard.  It was Hrbek’s 28th and Smalley’s sixth of the season.

Les Straker fell to 5-7 with a rough start.  He gave up six runs on six hits and three walks with one strikeout in 3 1/3 innings.
