by @ 6:11 pm. Filed under 1987 Twins, 1987 Twins Diary - July

July 28, 1987 at the Kingdome
Mariners 6, Twins 1  (55-47)

The Twins couldn’t get anything going against Mariners starter Mike Morgan and while they weren’t shutout, it was pretty close.  The lone run came in the third inning when Kirby Puckett singled home Dan Gladden.

Joe Niekro took the loss and he fell to 5-8 on the season.  He gave up five runs on eleven hits with two strikeouts in six innings of work.
