The Twins made it four straight and this time it was with a solid outing from their rookie hurler Les Straker. He improved to 6-7 and he gave up two runs on five hits two walks with two strikeouts in 6 1/3 innings. Jeff Reardon got the final four batters out for the Twin (two by strikeouts) and he picked up his 24th save of the season.
Tom Brunansky belted a big two run homer in the first inning for the Twins. Gary Gaetti doubled twice, scored and drove in a run.
